Supporting a Whole-of-Government HR Transformation

The challenge

The Department of Premier and Cabinet is leading the Tasmanian State Service HR Transformation Program, a whole-of-government initiative to modernise how HR is delivered across agencies. A program of this scale needs strong governance, clear requirements and careful change management to keep many stakeholders aligned.

What we did

Since 2024, K2 Projects has provided consulting services to the program, delivering:

• Program office set-up and support, including planning, reporting, coordination and risk and issue management
• Business analysis to define and document requirements
• Change management to engage stakeholders and prepare agencies for new ways of working

Our approach focuses on giving the program team the structure and insight it needs to make decisions and keep delivery moving.

Outcomes

As the program has progressed, DPAC has broadened the scope of our work to include additional program office support. The program is ongoing, and we will update this story as major milestones are reached.
